For students and families

A faith-centered education, within reach.

TENNISSA scholarships help Tennessee families pay tuition at member Islamic schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.

How scholarships work.

TENNISSA reviews applications, decides awards and pays your child's school directly. Your family never handles the money.

Tuition at member schools

Awards are applied to your student's tuition account at a TENNISSA member school in Tennessee.

Based on income

Households earning up to 300% of their area's median income can qualify — most Tennessee families.

Renewals come first

Students who received a scholarship last year, and then their brothers and sisters, get priority.

Check your eligibility.

Choose your county and household size, then enter your household's total income for last year.

Your household

Count everyone who lives with you and shares income and expenses.

Include wages, self-employment and other cash income for every adult in the household.

Your result will appear here.

Income limits use HUD FY2026 area median income, adjusted for household size. This is an estimate only — household income and size are verified during the scholarship application.

Some families qualify automatically. If anyone in your household receives SNAP, TANF, WIC, Section 8 housing assistance or SSI, or your child is in foster care, your student meets the income requirement without further income checks.
